Rebecca is a Shakespearean romantic, a hardscrabble Irish farmer, or a Kurdish refugee, depending on the day. Recent roles include: Rosemary (Outside Mullingar, Deep Dish Theater), Clarice (The Liar, Deep Dish Theater), Kelima (The Prisoner’s Dilemma, Burning Coal Theatre), Fatima (Pentecost, Burning Coal Theatre), Parker (Driving Home, Source Festival), and Louise (Everything in the Garden, Creede Repertory Theatre). Her performance as Rosalind (As You Like It, Burning Coal Theatre) earned her recognition in the Best Lead Performances category of the IndyWeek’s Year in Triangle Theatre issue. She studied acting as an undergraduate at Duke University, and as a graduate at Northwestern University. She received additional training at North Carolina School of the Arts, Atlantic Theatre Company, Act One Studios, and Shakespeare Theatre Company. While living in Chicago, she had the good fortune to study Shakespeare and Chekhov with master teachers Susan Hart and Jeffrey Carlson.  Rebecca relishes unpacking and interpreting the classics, as well as discovering the heart of a character in a new work. She is still searching for her perfect role that combines her passions: iambic pentameter, yoga, and baking complicated cakes.
