Rebecca is a playwright with roots in Chicago, Washington DC, and her home state of North Carolina. Writing credits include: Blue Straggler (Source Festival); Lady of the Lake (Kentuck Arts Festival); 27 (Emergence Theatre); readings with Inkwell Theatre (Delilah Lee, Blue Straggler) Chicago Dramatists (including Shards of Light, From the Forest, and Blue Straggler) and Burning Coal Theatre (Blue Straggler).  She has also written for several 10-minute play festivals. Her play From the Forest (now titled The Deepest Dark) was recognized with an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship Grant for Scriptworks.  She studied playwriting at Duke University with Erin Cressida Wilson and at Chicago Dramatists with a number of renowned teachers, including Robert Koon, Brett Neveu, and Russ Tutterow. She is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Inc.  

Most of her plays are ghost stories, in one way or another.
